Educate Through Data Collection & Analysis
Our team of experts in social science and statistical analysis are doing systematic collection and analysis of data about the Asian American scholar community. The main goal of our work is to educate policymakers, educational institutions, and community organizations to understand the unique challenges and opportunities faced by our community. Such data can provide insights into areas of underrepresentation, potential biases in academia, and specific needs of Asian American scholars, thus building a community with fair access and treatment for all. Additionally, this information is vital for tracking progress over time.

New Report Showcases Climate of Fear Among Asian-Origin Scientists and Researchers, September 23, 2022
Asian American Scholar Forum (AASF) released a report, “Caught in the Crossfire: Fears of Chinese-American Scientists,” with data that shows a growing number of Chinese-origin American academics leaving the United States and switching from U.S. to Chinese affiliations. The research shows the chilling effect of potential federal investigation and prosecution since the U.S. Department of Justice’s “China Initiative,” which launched in 2018.
